© 2025 Rockley Family Foundation
The Department of Performing Arts at American University has enjoyed the use of new first-class pianos on a no-cost basis for the 2024 academic year. This arrangement is provided through an initiative with the Rockley Family Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting music education. From March 13-15, 2025, these instruments and others will be available for sale to perpetuate this valuable program and provide financial support for the performing arts at American University.
This event will be held on campus at the Katzen Arts Center
4400 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20016
A large selection of grands, baby grands, digital player grands, vertical (upright) pianos, digital pianos, violins, violas, and cellos will be available. This event will feature instruments from such famous makers as Yamaha, Bösendorfer, Seiler, Cristofori, Roland, Italia Fine Violins, and others, with a discrete selection of certified restored Steinway & Sons pianos. Most instruments are less than one-year old, include a 5-10 year service contract, are tuned, and ready to go. Delivery and special no-interest financing options are available on site. Moreover, in most cases, a substantial portion of your purchase may be considered a charitable contribution to the Rockley Family Foundation and may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE (consult with your own tax adviser about the individual deductibility of any contribution).
